SloGrass has been entertaining audiences with a unique brand of acoustic Americana for over 30 years. Lively instrumentals on mandolin, banjo, dobro, guitar and acoustic bass create a textured foundation to support vocals enriched with multipart harmonies. A typical SloGrass setlist is likely to include songs that span 3 centuries of our musical heritage. Along with a smattering of straight ahead bluegrass, you might hear a couple of Beatles' tunes, a Bob Dylan song or two, a few folk favorites, a classic rock rendering, gypsy jazz, some singer-songwriter gems, fiddle tunes, a bit of blues, a couple of originals, songs from the Great American Songbook, and maybe some world music. To date, SloGrass has recorded 4 CDs -- All Aboard the Slo Train in 1996, The Song My Heart Sings in 1999, Footprints of Time in 2005, and Let Me Fly in 2014. Band members are (from left to right) Bob Dick on bass, Mark Whiting Davis on steel-string guitar, David DiBiasio on banjo, dobro & nylon-string guitar, and Fran McConville on mandolin.
