French jazz drummer, born on January 5th, 1946 in Nice, France. Aka "Dédé". He moved to Paris in 1960 and then he started to play in "Les Chats Sauvages" (1960's). Dee Dee Bridgewater's drummer since 1987. In 1998 he was granted the Great jazz Award by the French copyright management society Sacem. Father of Régis Ceccarelli.
