Paten Locke a.k.a DJ Therapy (25 August 1974 – 5 August 2019) was an American hip-hop MC, DJ and producer, born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, he relocated to Chicago, Illinois for two years followed by time spent in College Park, Maryland before settling in Jacksonville, Florida, United States of America.
From 2000 to 2009, he was very active as a DJ in and around Jacksonville known as DJ Therapy, being a resident DJ at clubs such as The Cave and then The Voodoo. He was an original member of Asamov and later joined The Smile Rays and The AB's, He picked up the Paten Locke alias in 2009. In 2016 he launched the Full Plate label together with a long-time friend Dillon Maurer. On August 5th, 2019 it was announced that Paten Locke had passed away after a battle with stage 4 cancer. He was survived by his wife and daughter.

Paten Locke is a rapper originally from Boston, Massachusetts but more recently based in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally he went by the pseudonym Therapy and was part of a group called Asamov, who released an album in 2005 entitled "And Now..." where Paten rapped, produced, and worked the turntables. Asamov was forced to change their name after being sued, so they chose The ABs. A short while later, Paten joined a group called The Smile Rays and released two albums with the group in which he performed similar duties as he did in Asamov. In between recording albums, he also did production work for artists like Mr. Lif and Akrobatik and traveled the world as a DJ. He finally began his solo career in 2008 and issued his debut album, Super Ramen Rocketship in 2009 through Tres Records.
