American female vocal soul sister-trio formed in 1968, Chicago, Illinois. Earlier known as Hutch Stereo's. They released their two first albums at Stax, produced by Isaac Hayes and David Porter. They switched to Columbia in the mid 70's. Their association with Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White brought them at the top of the charts with "Best Of My Love". They had big success as well with "Boogie Wonderland" sang with Earth, Wind & Fire. They released ten albums between 1971 - 1985.

The group was formed in their hometown of Chicago, Illinois in 1968, and originally consisted of the three Hutchinson sisters, all the children of Joseph and Lillian Hutchinson. They disbanded in 1986. The track ”Blind Alley” has had a critical impact on Hip-Hop being sampled by everyone from Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian, Ice Cube, Redman... . 2. The Emotions were a Doo-Wop group formed in Brooklyn, NY in 1958 by Joe Favale and Tony Maltese. Their most successful singles were "Echo" and "Story Untold" 3.
