French band formed in 1968 by former Pingouins lead singer Jacques Mercier. In the early 1970s they released two eponymous albums covering a wide variety of psych, prog, blues-rock and experimental styles, and also had some success with few pop singles. The band also played as backing band to Michel Polnareff. They split-up in 1973. More recently Dynastie Crisis became best-known for their track "Faust 72" which appeared in the soundtrack of the movie "Ocean's Twelve".

Dynastie Crisis were a French Funk-rock group consisting of Jacques Mercier (vocals, guitar), Jacky Chalard (bass), Philippe Lhommet (piano) and Geza Fenzl. The group had during the early 1970s some success with songs such "vivre libre" and "Faust '72". They played together with Michel Polnareff at l'Olympia 1972-1973.
