Michael Berrin (born May 6, 1967), known professionally as MC Serch, is an American rapper and record executive. He rose to prominence as a member of the hip hop group 3rd Bass, which was active in the late 1980s and early 1990s and released three studio albums. In his solo career, Serch is noted for his role in the early career of American rapper Nas. In 1992, he introduced Nas to Columbia Records and served as executive producer of the rapper's debut studio album, "Illmatic" (1994).
